Our client is a leading car and truck distributor in the UK. They offer vehicle maintenance and repair via the main distributor, the finance company, and their fleet management company. This consultancy needed to be delivered without the staff and suppliers becoming aware.
Transition was asked to investigate each company, their existing systems, and procedures. Then recommend a way forward to streamline the service along with costs and timescales that could be put into a business case to justify the change.

The consultant took the following approach:

Agreed an aproach with the sponsor which included how and what to communicate |
| Each company's process was analysed and documented |
| The suppliers and computer systems were evaluated |
| The costs of implementing the new system was compiled along with assumptions |
| A report was presented to the board |

The strategic report was used to recommend a way forward to streamline the service offering, improve the end customer service, and save costs. The recommendation was accepted and the project was authorised.
The recommendation has been implemented and the time and cost budgets were within the business case.
